The Civic Power Fund is a new fund for grassroots community organising. We will provided targeted long-term funding in key geographies across the UK. We work with organisations as partners, employing a trust-based and participatory grantmaking approach.

The application process was quick and easy and did not ask for lots of details. They seem to only fund community organising and have quite a strict definition.

We were given the option to apply via video or audio submissions but we choose to submit via text. There were only four short questions about our work in the application.
How successfully do you think this funder is accomplishing its goals as a funder?
Excellent
Tell us one thing that this funder does really well
They gave us a half-hour feedback call on why our application didn't go through and they recommended other funders who are more relevant to us. They also put us in touch with two other campaign groups working on similar issues.
If you had one piece of advice to give to this funder (about grantmaking or anything else), what would it be?
They should make their assessment criteria clear at the start so we could have tailored out application more.
