The Steve Morgan Foundation is passionately committed to changing lives for good, by working with partners that make a positive difference to those in need. Founded in 2001 by businessman and philanthropist, Steve Morgan CBE, we provide funding, support, expertise and best practice to the charities and organisations we support. By harnessing the power of working together, we address a range of areas including poverty, homelessness, health and wellbeing, and education and training, and have helped to improve the quality of life for more than 3 million people.

The Steve Morgan Foundation really work to support you every step of the way. If you come through the first stages of the application process, they will usually send a Trustee to come and talk to you, this is a good opportunity to build a good relationship with them and, again, they are there to support your application and make sure it is as strong as can be. A really good Trust.

I think they fund a wide and varied scope of projects. More possibly needed in North Wales. Many projects seem to be in Cheshire and Merseyside

Given the cost of living and how difficult is it to get funding, if possible open grants up for 5 years , however , this is a big commitment for the Foundation so appreciate it may not be possible

The Steve Morgan Foundation are not a faceless grant giver, and your first step is the online short form then they will pick up the phone and have an initial conversation with you to really go through what your ideas are, who you are as an organisation and to look at the eligibility and their requirements, it helps you think and insure you have everything together and they are also very honest with feedback even at this stage, and if not eligible or need to do some more background work they will advice of this.

This is a grant maker who sees the importance of a true partnership, not just funding, but understanding your work, supporting networks and building connections, and hosting a yearly conference bringing like minded organisations together sharing ideas, and learning from each other at the same time as running really beneficial workshops.
The team both in the office and the trustees are approachable and supportive.
How successfully do you think this funder is accomplishing its goals as a funder?

i have never worked with a better funder in the 10 years of community work, their response and speed through covid and the cost of living crisis has saved many organisations and in turn changed 100,000s of lives.

keep doing exactly what you are doing, supporting so many organisations and helping with connections and spotlighting work and lobbying for change.
