The Steve Morgan Foundation is passionately committed to changing lives for good, by working with partners that make a positive difference to those in need. Founded in 2001 by businessman and philanthropist, Steve Morgan CBE, we provide funding, support, expertise and best practice to the charities and organisations we support. By harnessing the power of working together, we address a range of areas including poverty, homelessness, health and wellbeing, and education and training, and have helped to improve the quality of life for more than 3 million people.

We hugely appreciated the time that was taken on getting to know us, coming to see what we do at our location and keeping in touch throughout the process. The team are hugely personable, professional and clearly dedicated to supporting communities.

The grants officer and trustees are warm and approachable. Thier interaction with Young Carers has been extremely positive.
How successfully do you think this funder is accomplishing its goals as a funder?

Meet with projects and really care about the difference the investment is making to people lives.
If you had one piece of advice to give to this funder (about grantmaking or anything else), what would it be?
Once we were given unrestricted funding. I was surprised by the difference unrestricted funding made - we were able to adapt the investment to meet needs over the duration of the grant. Since then, I think unrestricted grants are really helpful and something to be at least considered. Having said that - we are SUPER happy with our project costed grant - I just wanted to share a surprising experience of unrestricted funding that we learned from.
