The Community Foundation act on behalf of many other funders. Research is important, particularly talking in person or over the 'phone. Keep receipts, photographs and case studies for the reviews at six and 12 months. They also undertake a telephone evaluation near the beginning of the grant period.

I have always found their staff helpful and well informed.
How successfully do you think this funder is accomplishing its goals as a funder?
Excellent
They put community bodies and charities together very well. They also organise seminars and conferences which have been helpful.

They have funded my organisation several times to the full amount requested!
If you had one piece of advice to give to this funder (about grantmaking or anything else), what would it be?
Keep on doing what you are doing. Try to keep the point of contact the same throughout any grant period.
