Yapp Charitable Trust
We make grants for running costs and salaries to small registered charities in England and Wales to help sustain their existing work. We will not fund work that does not focus specifically on one of our priority groups. Applicants that reflect our grant making policy have the best chance of success. We offer grants only to registered charities with a total annual expenditure of less than £40,000.

Read all the questions on Yapps funding application, gather all the information you need to fully answer the question and don't waffle or go off track e.g. how not to answer a question q. What is your experience of youth arts project delivery? A. We have done lots of community projects with old people, people with disabilities, we worked with some 5 year olds that was a really fun project, we once installed some paintings in a library.
Ask someone who has no idea about your project to read the application and your answers.

If you had one piece of advice to give to this funder (about grantmaking or anything else), what would it be?
For inexperienced fundraisers like myself, please differentiate better whether funding is an amount spread over numerous years or is an amount PER year over numerous years, i.e. £3,000 spread over 2 years or £3,000 per year for 2 years.

Make sure you are clear about what you're asking for, have all your paperwork ready (bank statements etc). We found the application process straightforward.
