Yapp Charitable Trust
We make grants for running costs and salaries to small registered charities in England and Wales to help sustain their existing work. We will not fund work that does not focus specifically on one of our priority groups. Applicants that reflect our grant making policy have the best chance of success. We offer grants only to registered charities with a total annual expenditure of less than £40,000.

Application form very straight forward.
Excellent communication from the funder. I was kept informed of the progress of my application throughout.

This funder has helped to keep our charity going, without their multi year grant we would have had to close. They have always supported us for which we are forever grateful.
How successfully do you think this funder is accomplishing its goals as a funder?

supports small local charities with core funding which many others don't. The application process is also very straight forward which is a huge bonus.
If you had one piece of advice to give to this funder (about grantmaking or anything else), what would it be?
Carry on doing what you're doing. Thank you for offering core funding to small, local charities who do not generate projects to fund. I only wish other funders were the same. They also do not require the charity to have a certain amount in the bank in order to be considered for funding.

Like any grant application getting to know the funder - preferably face to face - then being able to tell your story while meeting the funders criteria is vital. Reading & understanding the application process and having the correct (& up to date) documentation is also critical.
